Information

The Problem
Most synopses on MAL are copy/pasted descriptions from other sites and vary dramatically in quality.

The Solution
Our goal is to write original synopses for anime, manga, and novel entries across the entire database.

Joining Requirements
☑ Please complete the Application Form.
☒ Please do not request to join the club.

Upon receipt, we'll review your application and get back to you with further details. For other questions, read the FAQ. The purpose of this is to ensure you have the necessary writing skills to help contribute to the project.

Member Activity
New writers are required to write at least one synopsis in their first month, while new editors are required to perform at least two edits in their first month. If this requirement is not met, then the user will be removed from the organization. Of course, exceptions can be made; if there are any issues with meeting this requirement, please let one of the coordinators know, and we will do our best to work around your circumstances.

However, after the initial quota is met, writers are not required to do a set amount of synopses a week or anything like that. Feel free to write when you have time. But work claimed must be finished within 2 weeks. If any admin/officer notices that you have been idle for more than 2 weeks, we might nag you...

Editors are required to complete at least one edit per month, or they may step down to writer or retire as a contributor.
